Why I don’t use WhatsApp

  1. International Communications over Local Only Communications
  2. Being Mindful & Improving Yourself: Spam Reduction over Privacy
    1. As everyone owns a WhatsApp, the number of times, I have to engage in long debates one message/interaction at a time is too much time consuming and energy draining.
    2. It’s definitely not about the privacy; it’s about the conversations I have on that platform. The platform is designed to have fast paced, easy & quickly accessible interactions. It trains you, to not think before you interact with another.
    3. WhatsApp is mainly used for fun. I like to have my conversations strictly professional.
    4. Dealing with spam is ongoing task. So, I will be applying a reputation based filter to the traffic. If you send me detailed, concise, well-reasoned and thought-out comments you are likelier to be listened to than those who don’t.
  3. As of now, I’ll be using email as the only point of contact. I like to have all communications logged safely and clearly thought out.
